by Harmans Engineering Co., Yelland, Barnstaple, is a device for k4eping the pedal depressed when adjusting foot brakes. The swivel-headed pad which bears on the brake pedal is operated by a threaded spindle mounted in a bracket which is clamped to the steering column.

Through a quick-acting toggle gear the clamp, when adjusted to suit the diameter of the column, can be locked instantly in position. The distance between the depressor pad and the steering-column clamps can be varied within wide limits so that the device is applicable to most makes of vehicle.
