Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

This week's best used deal is a 1998 skeletal tri-axle trailer available from Middlesboroughbased Tees Valley Trailers.

It is an SDC-built trailer, which has been refurbished, and is a 30ft (9.12m) sliding tipping skeletal that can carry 20ft (6.08m) ISO containers, which slide to the rear to discharge through the back of the container.

It also has drum brakes and runs on 385/65 tyres, and is available for hire or purchase.

Operators continue to play the waiting game when it comes to spending their cash on assets, often preferring to hire or buy second-hand. Throughout the recession, rental and hire markets have done well in using rolling stock and selling

revamped equipment. Combined with an unwillingness to pay more cash to hire new-build rental assets, which can be 30% more expensive, operators are more than happy to run older, often refurbished, trailers that remain cost effective.
