• Ford has released prices for the new Transit; increases average about 2.5% across the range. Short wheelbase vans start at £8,600 (all prices exVAT) for the 80 Popular petrol, rising to £13,280 for the 150 Standard with turbo-diesel engine.
Long-wheelbase models cost form £9,860 for the 100 Popular petrol to £15,540 for the 190 Standard with naturally aspirated 2.5-litre diesel. The turbo diesel option adds £600 to the price.
Chassis-cabs start from £8,950 for the SWB 120 Popular petrol. Minibuses range from £11,658 to £18,290.
Among the new Transit options are a three-way catalyst for petrol models priced at £460 ex-VAT, anti-lock brakes (£780) and "Quickclear" heated windscreen (£115).
