THE FIRST Duple Goldliner high-line 12-metre coach to be completed (in time for the coachbuilder's Wembley show) is one of the star attractions in Volvo's Coach of the Year presentation now touring the country.
The 50-seat vehicle, on a B 10 M chassis with Allison fully automatic transmission, incorporates a number of unusual features. These include the plugtype entrance door and a hinged sill for the rear luggage compartment to provide easier access.
Total luggage capacity, including the through lockers amidships, is almost lOcu m.
The Volvo Roadshow also includes a Jonckheere Bermudabodied B 10 M, a Plaxton Viewmaster to Tempo 100 specification, a Van Hool Alizee coach with air-over-leaf suspension and a Duple low-floor high-capacity city bus of the Dominant type on an 11-metre chassis.
