Ltd., diesel sales and service, has been appointed general sales manager of the company.

C. V. ("Kim-) Ford has been appointed SMMT educational affairs secretary. He was formerly public affairs secretary. Mr. Ford is now responsible for developing a new field for the SMMT. in the promotion of the motor industry as a Career and in establishing specialist management courses

William Barker, who joined Sunderland District Omnibus Co. 30 years ago, has been appointed district superintendent at Philadelphia, Co. Durham.

Peter Livsey, 38. has been appointed Ford Motor Co. Ltd. director of truck sales. He succeeds S. E. G. Toy, who recently became director of sales. Mr. Livsey joined Ford in 1952. and until his new appointment, he was car sales manager. As director of truck sales. OBITUARY

We record with regret the deaths of W. Famord and T. C. Oakenfold.

Mr. Farnorth, senior. aged 81, who died or Tuesday, was the father of NW (E) area RHA secre tare and himself a former RHA area secretary. Mr Oakenfold, 68, who died on Monday, was frog 1928 until his retirement in December 1961 managing director of Newold Transport Ltd. an( for many years served on Metropolitan and sub-are4 committees of the BRA.
