The company states that the vehicles are ideally suited to routes where loadings are too high for successful minibus operation. It believes that a heavier vehicle will stand up to requirements better than a "stretched" mini.
Further plans envisage adding more Swifts in 1989: the company is investigating the replacement of some minibus routes by the larger buses, where loadings are increasing to the point of justifying the expenditure.
