• Blackburn Transport, locli ed in competition with newcomer North Western Road Car company, has taken deliv ery of 11 long-wheelbase MC Metroriders to add to 15 MCWs bought last year.
The vehicles have automati gearboxes and Perkins Phase 125 engines, with two buses equipped with coach seats for the Coachlines fleet Blackburn now faces competition from a number of opE ators on all the major corrido: into the town and has recentl registered a number of town services on high frequencies.
The 26 Metroriders are used on the majority of town routes and have replaced a small number of full-size double-deckers.
