Twenty-four dogs-in-the-m nger on the Greek island of Spetsai have each been s ntenced to five months in prison and fined £100 They own the horsed carriages on which they charge exorbitant fares and refused a concession to run the island's only motorbus between the main port and the villages. When the privilege was taken up by someone else they threw the vehicle into the sea.
