Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Following the lead set by the SELNEC PTE, London Transport is to conduct its own comparative trial on two makes of single-deck city buses. Early next year one route, S2 between Clapton and Bow, will be operated entirely by MetroScanias and Leyland Nationals.

Six vehicles of each make will be used on the route, which is currently operated by AEC MS buses. LT had the original Metro-Scania demonstrator on trial for some months but this is its first order for the vehicle. It is understood that one of the six vehicles will be to the "Quiet Bus" specification.
