• The "Transport" Council at Brussels last week was unable, through lack of time, to take a decision on the renewal of the system of bracket tariffs and community bracket tariffs (forked rates). It hopes to agree on the new system of tariffication when Transport Ministers of the Nine countries resume their discussion on December 18 and 19, at Brussels. Because of the administrative problems involved the Council agreed to maintain the present system until April 11973, in order to avoid a legal void.
