A Although a revision of regulations affect' ing drivers of goods vehicles is now under consideration, the current regulations require every driver of a goods vehicle to have at least 10 consecutive hours of rest in any 24-hour period calculated from the commencement of any period of driving. This is the basis on which a 14-hour spreadover is possible, although only 11 hours actually on duty is permissible.
These regulations apply to drivers of all goods vehicles whether operating on A. B or C licence.
