Tip-Ex 2007 opened to high expectations which proved justified as exhibitors took advantage of the launched dozens

opportunity and of innovative products. Kevin Swallow reports.

No other show this year will be as keenly anticipated as Tip-Ex 2007. Most exhibitors and visitors were veterans of its previous incarnation,lip-Con, which last visited Harrogate's International Centre in 1997.

There were plenty of launches, including lighter products, new markets and materials, and healthand-safety improvements.

Visitors came both to relive the old days and look at the new face of the industry. John Alford, for example, was on holiday in Portugal when he heard about the event;despite having retired two years ago after 29 years spent running tippers out of Langport, Somerset,he made the trip north. •
