• A plan to build a major truckstop on the Al near Dishforth in North Yorkshire is being opposed by a property developer.
Truckhaven has submitted plans for a 375-space truckstop near the A1/A168. But rival firm Strait Properties is pressing for a service station with room for 159 cars, 86 trucks and 15 coaches to the west of the Al.
