Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

. am fed up with reading ut transport managers and lers singing the praises of vos, Scanias and Oafs, and iging the British-built truck. these smart transport lagers and drivers are sing, or ignoring, the fact t these Volvos, Scanias and 's have all short engine s, with major engine uilds after as little as 1,000km.

['he Volvo F7 is one [mple with major engine ire at only 400,000km: tons and valves being main culprit.

Fhe Scania also has nkshaft and main bearing blems around 400,000km, I the Oaf using oil at 1,000km.

Ui this is ignored so the ver can have a nice nfortable cab and the asport manager can have a art looking modern fleet. let they ignore the fact t the Gardner engine is still fling as sweet as a nut at 1,000km and the Perkins 265L, 290L and 300L still rking away with 480,000km the clock.

kil I can say now is that se clever transport nagers should look again at se maintenance costs — pecially engine overhaul and placements.
