A simple and effective method of dealing with volatile liquid fires in their early stages is provided by the Angus FP70 portable extinguisher.
It contains fluoroprotein foam compound and weighs 16 kg (351b) and though it has only 10-litre (2.2gal) capacity its effectiveness is claimed to be three times greater than a comparable conventional foam extinguisher.
