FURTHER efforts to stimulate use of automatic fare collection apparatus on two one-man-operated routes are being made by London Transport. For an experimental period of three months, double-deckers on the routes will have special signs drawing attention to the machines and householders will get explanatory leaflets. If successful the scheme — which also involves painting the entry door by the machine yellow — will be extended to other routes.
