Kenneth Robinson, Minister of Health in the last Labour Government, is being recommended for the 17,750-ayear post of chairman of London Transport by Sir Reg Goodwin, leader of the Greater London Council. Mr Robinson would take up the post on January 1, 1975 if the GLC approves the recommendation, in succession to Sir Richard Way who has indicated that he does not wish to renew his contract which is due to expire after five years. Mr Robinson, currently a managing director of the British Steel Corporation, would hold the post on a four-year contract.
