Wincanton Transport Ltd has acquired the Ipswich depot of Reece Bros Transport Ltd which was opened last September. The takeover includes the premises, the staff, 22 tractive units and 39 trailers. There is a large covered warehousing area and one acre of ground which Wincanton no intends to develop. Mr E. I R. Smith, who was Reece area manager, continues transport manager for tlnew owners. Wincanto already has a tanker depot Norwich. The Ipswich dep( will continue to operate wit general haulage traffic.
