Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In a third court, a prosecution for overloading an axle by 900kg, while the vehicle was some 600kg inside its allowable gross weight, resulted in a fine of £750 being imposed.

It would seem that the overloading of an axle is a more serious offence than causing a death.

I do not consider for one moment that any LA would agree with that conclusion.
