• Autosteer Controls of Pudsey, Leeds has added a lighter (one-tonne) lifting capacity forklift to its four-model range of Moffet Mounty piggy-back rough-terrain trucks.
At the point of delivery it takes less than a minute to detach the forklift from the vehicle ready for use. With threewheel hydrostatic drive and floatation-type tyres, the Moffet Mounty 1-2 tonne range, weighing from as little as 850kg, to 2,200kg, is designed to operate on rough surfaces.
Increased vehicle utilisation is claimed to reduce bulk delivery costs between 20 and 50%. Prices, depending on specification, range from 28,000 to £18,000, but Autosteer also offers leasing and hire deals.
