on The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations have been published by the Health and Safety Executive. They provide practical guidance on how to comply with the new regulations, which will apply to everyone at risk from working with asbestos from 1 March 1988.
The new approved codes are provided to help employers, the self-employed, and employees comply with the new • requirements. They include detailed guidance on: O How to make an adequate assessment of an employee's -osure; LJ How to ensure that the information, instruction and training given to employees is adequate; O Ways of preventing and reducing exposure; O Providing adequate protective clothing and washing and changing facilities; O Assuring the accuracy of air monitoring results.
