• The latest Econocruise electro motor operated (EMA) speed limiter is claimed to offer improved driver control. The new system offers the ability to select intermediate speeds between 56Iun/h and a preset upper limit. Its memory can be re-programmed by the driver when traffic conditions dictate a change, and if the multi-speed function is overridden, the memory-resume facility will automatically return the vehicle to the original cruising speed unless reset If a retarder is fitted, the EMA can also be used to prevent overspeeding on downhill gradients, says Econocruise.
