lorry loader of allaluminium construction, the new Alu-Kran 7200, now manufactured by SAG of Salzburg, Austria, has a capacity of 3,000kg at 2.4m, reducing to 700kg (13.8 cwt) at 8.1m reach.
The novel loader, with full 360 degrees slewing capability, and extendible stabilisers weighs 890kg (17.5 cwt), excluding crane mounts, hydraulic tank and oil. It reduces the weight penalty by almost one third over conventional cranes of this type.
The 7200 model was developed in close co-operation with the design office of Alusuisse AG, in Zurich.
