AN EX-NATIONAL Bus Company employee and a Transport and Road Research Laboratory officer have received medals awarded to them in the Queen's New Year's Honours List.

Reggie Kaye, a former West Riding Automobile busman of 49 years' standing, was installed as a Member of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace last week.

He retired last August, having spent the last 22 years with West Riding, latterly as assistant chief engineer.

Charles Robinson is a professional and technical officer at TRRL. He received his British Empire Medal last week.
