Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A polypropylene compound — Propathene PXC 5563 — containing 25 per cent glassfibre coupled to the polypropylene by means of a patented chemical bonding system, has been introduced by ICI Plastics Division. Compared with unfilled polypropylene, it has improved physical and mechanical properties that bring it into line with established "engineering" thermoplastics, such as nylon, polycarbonate, acetals and modified polyphenylene oxide (PPG). • The compound combines the high chemical resistance and ease of injection moulding of unfilled polypropylene with significant reductions in mould shrinkage and thermal expansion.

Made • by: Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd, Mil!bank, London SW1 P 3JF.
