Mrs Mary Margaret Dolan, of Commer d Street, Newport, whose husband Patrick rues Dolan was managing director of smock Private Hire before his licences !re revoked in June 1971, told the courtthat hough she held a share in that company e had never taken any part in the magement. "I realize the coaches must go into a garage when it is time and I fully understand the importance of maintenance" she told the Commissioners.

Granting the licence, Mr R. R. Jackson said he had to be very satisfied in view of the previous past records of the company that Mr Dolan would only be employed-as a driver.

He also told Mrs Dolan that the licences would only be granted on the undertaking given by Mr C. R. Withers that, in the event of the vehicles not being put in for service on agreed dates, he would personally inform the Traffic Commissioners.
