ANEW .5,000 lb. capacity low-lift battery electric platform truck is announced by Wessex Industries (Poole) Ltd. It is suitable for carriage of any type of stillage indoors or outside. The narrow drive unit of 42 in. makes it ideal for use in confined space. The platform lifts vertically 5 in. and is hydraulically operated. Hand and foot brakes are fitted; also a "dead-man" foot switch.
