GATEWAY Transportation Co. Inc., the large American haulier with a 4.000-strong fleet of lorries, tractive units and trailers, is ordering 762 new units at a cost of £1.8m.
It replaces units on an average of every three years and says this policy has resulted in a 4 per cent reduction in operating costs compared with extended maintenance.
NIC Site: Northern Ireland Carriers Ltd. has been allocated a four-acre site in the Craigavon (Co. Armagh) area for the development of a large freight transport depot.
