Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

T OSSES of about £40,000 a year on trams may expedite Blackpool Corporation's plans to replace -the Marton route with buses.

Less than a month ago it was the intention, of the transport committee to retain the Marton trams until about 1%5, but last Friday the chairman of the committee. Ald. E. E. Wynne, said: "We feel it might be as welL to expedite the programme we had fixed."

At its next meeting the committee will consider tenders for buses for the Lytham Road tram route for delivery in 12 to 18 months' time. It is now thought likely that the Marton route will he changed at about the same time.
