Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ing to the "second position of the normal adjustable seat with three settings, a new luxury coach seat, described as the Continental, has recently been introduced by Rowland Hartrick, Ltd., 57-59, Warwick Road, Birmingham, 11, to provide a high degree of passenger comfort with only a small reduction in the total seating capacity of a vehicle.

Assuming 'that the normal arrangement of seven seats allows knee room of 9 ins., six seats could be installed in the same space with 11-12 ins, of knee room. With the usual adjustable type seat it would be possible to accommodate only five. • To employ the allowable seat width to the best advantage, Dunlopillo 3-in. padded rails replace the usual hard piping and the Dunlopillo 5-in, head roll includes three wings to provide two head rests for each passenger.

The soft rail makes it possible for the aisle passenger to sit across the end of the seat without sacrificing it comfortable support for the back and shoulders, and the centre wing gives a greater degree of latitude for the head position.

The Dunlopillo double-density seat cushion measures 18 ins, from the front to the back, and. together with the back squab, is shaped for the maximum body comfort of both tall and short passengers. The head roll is of flexible hide, which is easily cleaned, and the seat is trimmed in first-quality moquette to a selected pattern.

The Continental luxury seat joins the range of five service and two luxury seats which may be supplied direct to an operator.
