A GATESHEAD-based haulage boss has appeared in court after killing his wife with his truck following a drunken row.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that Graeme Lamb, who holds a licence for five vehicles, ran over his wife Josephine with his 26-tonne Scania truck on Sunday 12 July 2009. Upon calling 999, he told ambulance control: "I thought she would f****** move out of the way, but she didn't." He denies manslaughter and a lesser charge of causing death by careless driving while over the drink-drive limit.
