Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ave you heard the one about the Lada driver whose patience finally snapped after suffering the double whammy of a flat tyre and a flat battery while driving home late at night on the motorway? And this was after the unfortunate fellow was stopped by police for a routine check on the M5 south of Manchester.

He was sent on his way but shortly afterwards, around midnight, a tyre blew and the battery went flat. In a fit of pique he set fire to the tyre to attract attention; a police patrol duly stopped and helped him fit the spare.

Was all well? Apparently not—the Lada was found abandoned on the hard shoulder at 04:15hrs by another patrol with its windscreen smashed, a wheel missing and the numberplates taken. The driver, driven over the edge by his intractable conveyance, had taken his revenge and stomped off into the night.
