AN order for another 26 Daimler Roadliner rear engined, single-deck bus chassis has been placed by Potteries Motor Traction Co. Ltd. This brings the total number of this type of chassis on order by PMT to 50. But, unlike the original order, 23 of the latest will have Marshal servicebus bodywork and three Plaxton coach bodies instead of Strachans bodywork.
All the PMT buses will have Metalastik rubber suspension and this will also be used on eight Roadliners ordered by another BET company, Black and White Motorways Ltd., of Cheltenham. These will have Plaxton 47-seat coach bodies.
