DURING May some 805 goods vehicles were
checked by Ministry of Transport officers in checking drivers contravening hours and records regulations and other offences under the Road Traffic Acts in Lincolnshire.
Of these, 46 are to be the subject of further inquiries-31 on account of hours and records, 13 for licensing matters and two for overloading. There were 78 verbal warnings given for lesser infringements of the Road Traffic Acts.
