Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A former policeman who drove in front of a truck to stop it overtaking has been convicted of dangerous driving and causing the death of its driver. The jury at GlascLow Sheriff Court also found Kenneth Todd, 49, guilty of -ailing to stop and report the accident, which ended with the death of 55-year-old Peter Boyle on 8 January.

Todd, of Meikleriggs Drive, Paisley, Renfrewshire, will be sentenced next month.

He drove in front of Boyle to stop him overtaking, forcing the truck on to a concrete pillar on the central reservation of the M8 on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Boyle, a grandfather, of Maryhill, Glasgow, died from multiple injuries. A motorist who saw the accident chased after Todd, flashing his lights, and took his registration number.

Todd said he had been driving for 33 years and did not have any endorsements on his licence. He said he was aware the lorry was driving "dangerously close" to him and he accelerated away from it. He told the court his impression was that the lorry was "snaking" about the road and seemed to be in some trouble. He was unaware it had left the road.
