MOTOR PARTS trade exhib tions in Britain could be de troyed if the plan for a sprin Autoquip exhibition (CM, Jul 10) goes ahead, the organiser the rival Autopartac claimed lat week.
Autopartac chairman Ken Grt gory said that his show has a ready been moved to the begir fling of the year, so that there i room in September for th Society of Motor Manufacturer and Traders' Autoquip show.
He said that it was no apparent that the SMMT i "rattled by the success and mc mentum" of Autopartac, an that if the two shows do tak place together from 1984, ther is a strong danger that neithe will survive.
