ANEAT littlecompressor for pneamatic-tyre inflation is being made and marketed by F. Bullock, of Culeheth Lane Works, Newton Heath, Manchester. It is called the Supreme, and
costs £9 13s., or, coupled to a h.p., two-stroke, water-cooled engine, and mounted with the compressor on ar bed
plate, the outfit is priced at £35. A lighter model is arranged to work from shafting, being driven by a iFin, belt on fast and loose pulleys on the shaft of the compressor. If required, it can also be supplied for mounting on the chassis, so that it can be driven by the
engine. For those who have the facilities for manufacturing, sets of castings and parts, partially machined if desired, can be supplied at a reduced price.
The compressor is equipped with ball bearings for the main c26 shaft, and where it is to be fitted to a chassis it is supplied with a V-pulley to be driven by a Whittle belt. It works equally well in both directions, and gives a pressure of 150 lb. per sq. in. at 300 r.p.m., but is designed to run at a normal speed of 800 r.p.m.
In the case of the combination of electric motor or petrol engine and the compressor, this should forth an excellent little unit 'for the garage or repair shop,-as it is entirely self-contained and Of the simplest possible design.
