JULY issue of the " Guide," published by Rieu, Wiley and Co., Ltd., 123, Pall Mall, London, S.W., shows a great increase in motor coach coastal servioe,s out of London. Long and interesting holidays can easily be mapped out, use being made of the bus transport arrangements between the various towns.

For instance, suppose we were ping cut, cut an itinerary for a fortnight's holiday. On Monday a start 'could be made from Shepherd's Bush by tram to Uxbridge, from there the Thames Valley bus can be taken to West Wycombe, thence by another bus to Oxford. On Tuesday the journey could be re sumed by traVelling from Oxford to Burford, where a Bristol Tramways bus can be obtained to Cheltenham. Wednesday might be occupied in travelling to Gloucester, continuing to Ross and remaining for the night at Monmouth. Thursday could be spent by exploring the Wye Valley, one particularly fine trip being to Tintern Abbey and Chepstow.

A return c7ould bermade to Gloucester on Friday, and thence by Bristol Tramways bus to Bristol via Newport and Cambridge. On the Saturday morning travelling might be limited to proceeding to Wells, whore an "interesting week-end could be spent. On Monday the route would lie through Frame to Wiecanton.

Tuesday might profitably be passed in exploring the beautiful country round Frorne, and on Wednesday a journey amid be made to Shaftesbury by a National bus, and thence to Bournemouth by the Hants. and Dorset service, is rtin through delightful country taking just over three Ethers.

Thursday could well be spent. in examining the country round Bournemoath, and on Friday there would be a beautiful trip through the New Forest. to Southampton and thence cm to Winchester, From the last-named town an• Aldershot bus can be taken to that town, thence the journey couldbe continued to Rgham for all parts of London.

It might be thought that-euch a tour would involve a great expenditure of money, and it may surprise many to know that, so far as fares are concerned, the .total would be well under
