• A mechanical breakdown insurance scheme — Iveco Ford Hallmark — is now available on all makes of used commercial vehicles retailed through the IFT dealer network.

The scheme, which is underwritten by the Financial Insurance Group and administered by Car Care Man, provides comprehensive cover on parts and labour on all major mechanical components.

Additional benefits include contributions towards call-out charges and vehicle replacement as well as continental cover. The benefits of the scheme are also transferable should the insured vehicle be sold.

All makes of used vehicle up to 38-tonnes GCW and under four years old are covered. A policy specifically designed for 8 x4 vehicles and those used off-road, has also been produced.

The recommended retail prices of the policies range from £195 for a Group A vehicle (up to five-tonnes GVW) to £1,150 for Group G trucks (any vehicle used off road or 8 x 4s).
