Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NSF STRETO4 & SWITCH

• North Sea Ferries is spending £16 million on lengthening its two passenger/freight ferries, the Norland and Norstar. The refits will take around seven weeks and will increase the two vessels' freight capacity to 179 12m trailers.

When the work is completed Norland and Norstar, which currently operate on NSF's Hull-Rotterdam route, will be switched to Hull-Zeebrugge, to provide increased freight capacity on the Belgian service from mid-1987.

The Hull-Rotterdam route will be taken over by NSF's most modern ferries, the Norsea and Norsun, which can accommodate up to 180 12m trailers.

The new cruise ferry and ship refit programme represents a combined £90 million investment by North Sea Ferries' shareholders — the P&O Group and Royal NedLloyd Group.
