• Newly-launched VIA Truck Rental has appointed three new managers.
Eddie Cowper, 49, joins VIA as technical operations manager from Renault Truck Industries where he was Midlands regional sales manager.
Ian Blake, 35, formerly lease accounts manager with Ryder Truck Rental, joins VIA as southern area sales manager and Terry Swain, 35, previously with Nissan UK as an area fleet sales manager, is appointed to the post of northern area sales manager.
All three will report to Geoffrey Mitchell, 40, who launched VIA Truck Rental in October, as the British arm of VIA Location de Camions of France. Mitchell plans to open eight new rental fleet centres this year in addition to the existing centres at London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cleveland.
