• The Nottingham branch of British Car Auctions has a new management team led by James Gibson, 29, who joined the company in 1983 as a management trainee. He will be assisted at the Burgass Road Centre by Mark Jones, 27, assistant manager, and Ken Wood, 20, management trainee.
• The new national accounts division of Distributive Computer Systems will be the responsibility of Denny Wood, 39, who joins DCS from Volvo Concessionaires where he was corporate systems manager.
• John Steele, who last year resigned as EEC Traffic Commissioner, has been appointed as a non-executive director by P&O Containers.
• Market Harboroughbased King Trailers has a new technical director, John Ingrey. Ingrey's appointment to the board of King Trailers follows seven years as the company's chief engineer.
• The Biffa Group, which now comprises Biffa Waste Service Exclusive Cleaning Supplies and White Cross, has a new chairman, Andy Cooper.
• Andrew Parkhouse, 41, has been appointed communications manager for the National Freight Consortium. He will report to the company's director of communications, Muriel Craddock.
