• At the Brussels Commercial Vehicle Show this week,
Scania revealed changes to the brake control system on all of its truck models which are claimed to give better braking distribution between the front and rear axles.
The lighter, and more compact, central brake unit mounted with the vehicle's battery pack, under a shared plastic cover, allows space for extra fuel capacity, up to a maximum 960 litres on a 4 x 2 tractive unit.
Where a spare wheel and storage boxes are fitted the maximum fuel capacity is limited to 800 litres.
