Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MORE lorries will be able to use the A58 in West Yorkshire later this year when its five-ton unladen weight limit is changed to a 16.5 ton gross weight limit.

This is one of the first fruits of a change to gross weights for amenity lorry bans, and means that some of the urban distribution vehicles which currently use the A64 Leeds-York road instead, and which are falling foul of residents' and police objections, will be able to revert to their previous route (CM January 10).
