LONDON Country Bus Service's application to run Green Line .1 vices between London and Gatwick Airport has been approved the Metropolitan Traffic Commissioners and services are expec. to start in the spring.
British Rail objected to the application on the grounds that it v making major investments on both terminal facilities and roll stock used on its Gatwick-London rail link and it would not be in public interest to allow competition which could abstract some oi traffic.
LCBS contended that Gatwick was a growth market and BR o handled about half of the available traffic.
