AN OVERDRIVE unit for the Fon Transit will become a regulai production option later thi: year.
Currently, the Laycock overdrive is listed only as k. Special Vehicle Order (SVO) fo all models, except the lonc wheelbase Transit 100.
Ford claims that the overdrivE is particularly suited fo motorway operation and car give an improvement in fuel eco nomy of up to 15 per cent.
