A SERIES of tachograph teachins for drivers will be launched by the Freight Transport Association in March. They will be held at centres throughout the country until October and will be limited to representatives of FTA member companies.
The sessions will each last about two hours and will cover legal requirements; vehicles affected; exemptions; who keeps a tachograph record; type of tachograph required; and the tachograph in use.
An important feature of the teach-ins will be an exercise in chart reading and the recording of the information which still has to be written by the driver.
