11ATIONAL CARRIERS have created three regions for their ion-parcels work, to handle acivities in England and Wales. Regional offices have been treated at Manchester (North of ngland), Peterborough (Eastern Ind South), and Bristol (Western ind Midland), taking the place of ;even regional offices as before. gegotiations with trades unions ire continuing, to determine the ;tructure beneath the new regiolal directors.
The move is part of NC's mlicy of developing its contract :ervices and Fleetcare activities, )artly to counter the impending oss of British Ralf's express par:els contract on July 1, but it ;tresses that it is not part of any ;taff-cutting exercise.
A company spokesman told !A/f that NC is "quite satisfied" iith the volume of new business Mich it has attracted so far.
