Section 15 of thekRoad Traffic Act 1974 came into operation on January 1 this year. This allows a person to drive a heavy oods vehicle at 18 years of age provided he fulfils certain conditions especting training and employment, including membership of a training .;:heme approved by the Secretary of State. However, regulations robably in the form of a Statutory instrument have yet to be made pecifying the conditions referred to.
