HOW does the industry's Association see the future for warehousing? When we spoke to Mr S. G. Burgess, the secretary of the National Association of Warehouse Keepers, last week he had some encouraging comments. "The industry was very buoyant in 1974 and I have every reason to believe that it will continue so this year. Even during the three-day week and its aftermath, which seemed to affect so many others adversely, warehousekeepers were unaffected."

Mr Burgess said that a few years ago the word "distribution" would have been divorced from warehousing, but today they were seen as being in the same business.

Of the 450 members of NAWK about 80 per cent are also in road haulage.
